Syllabus – Precinct Orientation

Level I – Precinct, Campaign, and Activist Orientation Class:

This class is open to all activists who have not attended classes in the past.  This is the introductory course about organizing your precinct, the smallest political unit in your district.
The class is open to all activists seeking to build stronger campaigns and organizations in their efforts to impact elections and issues.  This class will help the precinct chair / conservative activist understand the structure and how to access and utilize the Republican Party to affect political change starting at the grassroots level.
Local Republican Parties need conservative – liberty-based – activists who wish to become precinct chairs, assist their existing precinct chair, fill precinct chair vacancies, and run for the Office of Precinct Chair.  Over 60% of Republican Precincts in counties across the State of Texas are vacant and need good men and women to fill them.
This class covers duties and responsibilities, involving yourself in the community as an agent of influence, understanding the RP structure, knowing, and understanding the election cycle (calendar), accessing RP governing documents, and building a stronger precinct organization.
It is presented as both a slide presentation and computer-based format.  Each attendee will receive a copy of The Precinct Leader’s Manual, Texas Activist Edition.  This class is available (and can be tailored) to activist groups and campaigns to help them better understand the nature of precinct and campaign organization.
